Just seeing this blog this morning and I quite agree with it! I've found a very practical application of poetry when I work with client teams and want them to synthesize the thinking/discussion that has taken place. I will have them work in pair teams or triads and ask them to create a haiku which captures the essence of the work of the day, or captures the recommendations for going forward. I'll remind people of the Haiku form first and then give them 15 minutes to do the exercise and then share with the whole group. It is so powerful!
